Best Cleaning Tips, Ever

After you inspect your newly vacuumed floor, footprints should not be visible.

The husband, the kids, the dog. Our homes are arranged and rearranged everyday. Wouldn’t it be great if you had your own personal guide on how to clean shop? By following these cleaning tips, you may get your home back in tip-top shape even faster.

Cleanliness Is…

It’s never too early or too late for you and those around you to sanitize your living space. Just think, not doing so can leave both you and your loved ones susceptible to varied germs being transferred.

Everyone knows that sponges are indigenous to the ocean. And, because they are porous, sponges can accumulate quite a bit of bacteria. How do I combat this problem? Simply disinfect your sponge every night by squeezing it out and microwaving it on high for roughly a minute. That should do the trick.

Many love the luxurious look and feel of plush carpet, but taking on the task of vacuuming it, not so much. When vacuuming, begin in the farthest corner and work your way toward the door, using slow, repetitive, front-to-back motions in an overlapping sequence. After you inspect your newly vacuumed floor, there should be no trace of footprints in sight.

Toilet bowls are put to the test on a daily basis and constantly need to be cleaned. However, by dropping a teaspoon of Tang Drink Mix in the bowl, it will act like a scrubber. The mix should sit for a couple of minutes, followed by being swished and flushed. There are two pluses to this scenario; your toilet bowl will smell clean and fresh and you don’t have to spend time on your hands and knees making it spick-and-span.

How many rolls of paper towels do we use each year for cleaning purposes alone? Alas, you can use microfiber cloths instead of paper towels. Just wet your cloth and use it to clean your floors and sanitize them. Microfiber cloths also can prove to be invaluable when it comes to cleaning glass, tile and countertops. Microfiber cloths are reusable, can be machine washed and allowed to hang dry. This effortless switch will save you a lot of money in the long run.

Similar to a sponge, your kitchen sink also can have a fairly large amount of bacteria on its surface. There is an easy solution to this annoying problem, use a product labeled as an EPA-registered disinfectant. You can make your own cleaning solution also. After first cleaning your sink with soap and water, spray a mist of vinegar followed by a mist of hydrogen peroxide and let your sink air-dry. Just like new!

Until Next Time

Your home doesn’t have to be the breeding ground for all types of germs. And, it won’t be as long as you continue to follow a cleaning regimen. Now’s the time to grab those helpers and get to work.
