Changing your Whole Outlook
Fame and fortune. Most celebrities appear to have it all, including the perfect nose, but this sometimes is made possible through the help of rhynoplasty.
How is this procedure completed? During rhynoplasty, a surgeon can reshape your nose to best suit you. This is done by removing skin and altering the structure of your nose (the bone and cartilage). After a nose job, you’ll need to rest for roughly a day or two. It also may be helpful to know that you should expect bruising and swelling to be at its worst in the first three days. Though the swelling following rhynoplasty may not go down completely for several weeks, most of the bruising disappears in as little as a week. And, in just three short weeks, you may be back to your old, new, self again.
One of the easiest ways to guess a person’s age is by looking at the area around their eyes. For those who are less than thrilled with how they look when it comes to this part of the body, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) may be an option.
How does blepharoplasty work? It reshapes your eyelids. This procedure is completed to eliminate bagginess and tighten loose skin around the eyelids. However, blepharoplasty doesn’t remove those fine wrinkle lines you may have. Also, you undoubtedly will experience some swelling and bruising afterward. In some instances, the swelling will not go down for a week or two. In general, bruises from this cosmetic procedure typically disappear within a week to 10 days. There are a few mild side effects associated with this fairly popular procedure. Your vision can become blurry for days following the operation and you may tear up more easily than normal. Dry eyes, too, is a likely condition of having blepharoplasty.
Does anybody welcome “love handles” and “saddle bags” on their body? Lipoplasty, also known as liposuction or body sculpting, is one way to remove these stubborn pockets of fat. With lipoplasty, the surgeon vacuums out the fat through a tiny incision. There will be bruising, swelling and perhaps some numbness in the area you had suctioned. You may feel well enough to return to work a few days after the operation, but this depends on how much fat has been removed.
In our culture, fuller breasts are a sign of beauty and sexiness. For those wishing to enhance their bust line, breast implants, which is commonly referred to as a breast augmentation, can help on this front. These implants are saline-filled bags that are placed in between your breast tissue and your chest muscles. Implants also can be placed between your chest muscles and your chest wall. You should be able to get out of bed a day or two prior to this surgery being completed. You probably won’t be able to bathe for three to seven days afterward.
What about returning to work? A few days to a week after the operation, you may feel well enough to return to work, nonetheless, vigorous exercise for two to three weeks should be avoided. Sorry, now is not the time to take full advantage of your gym membership.
If you recall earlier, we discovered that blepharoplasty will not remove fine wrinkle lines. But, botox injections (botulinum toxin) can. Moreover, botox injections are used to smooth wrinkles around the eyes and frown lines. The procedure paralyzes the muscles in the forehead, so you will have decreased movement of said muscles.
Although there’s no major recovery involved with botox injections, you may experience bruising, swelling and numbness at the injection site. These injections also do not deliver permanent results. With that, you need to receive injections every three to four months. Since it’s possible to rush to your doctor’s office during a lunch break while at work, botox injections are a preferred beauty method for many.

It is commonplace for celebrities to go under the knife or have a facelift. How come? The skin on your face tends to sag and fold during the aging process and we want to maintain our youthful appearances a little while longer. Well, a facelift stretches the skin up toward the scalp, thereby smoothing and tightening it. Bruising and swelling is to be expected after having a facelift; not to worry though, because bruising usually fades in about two weeks. On the swelling side, swelling can last a bit longer and you also may experience numbness, which can last several weeks at a time. During the first few days of recovery, it is recommended that you avoid direct sun light and take it easy. However, your doctor can further explain the do’s and don’ts of having a facelift.
